Looking for the “screen saver’s” white sandy beach, with cocktails and reggae music ? Welcome to the Gili Islands!

From chic hotels with exotic and western dishes to tasteful Indonesian food at the night market, I really enjoyed the style and atmosphere on Gili T and Gili Meno.
I had heard some negative things about the party island Gili T (too touristic, too much noise etc…) but maybe because I was there during the low season, I must say that I just really enjoyed the vibes of the island. Dancing on local reggae tunes at night, hanging out on one of the beautiful beaches during the day and even surfing when the waves were a little bigger than usual…it was a perfect holiday spot to start my journey in Indonesia!

The food market every night, where you can enjoy fresh fish, skewers on the BBQ, nasi campur (rice with a mix of vegetables, meat, sauces), fried bananas etc…
